PROBLEM:  Requests for an updated Adaptec adst70 HBA driver to provide bug fixes.

SOLUTION: The HBA Driver Supplement - adst70 Release 7.1.3a provides
          the following driver:

          hba_adst70_713a.image

          This file contains an image of the UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.3a
          adst70 driver HBA Diskette. This diskette can be used during
          fresh installation of any UnixWare 7 or Open UNIX 8 system
          for the releases mentioned above.

          This image is available at the following URL:

              ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/unixware7/drivers/storage

          Revised versions of the adst70 Driver will be made available in
          the same directory.

I. Installation: UnixWare and Open UNIX installation


While installing UnixWare 7 or Open UNIX 8, be sure to insert the adst70
HBA diskette before any HBA diskettes supplied with your media kit.

In order to create an  diskette, take the following steps:

        1. Become root and create a new directory by typing:

                $ su
                Password: <type your root password>
                # mkdir /tmp/hba
                # cd /tmp/hba

        2. Download the hba_adst70_713a.image file to the newly created
           /tmp/hba directory on your machine.

        3. Make an adst70 diskette from the image file using this command
           after inserting a formatted floppy in your floppy drive.

                # dd if=hba_adst70_713a.image of=/dev/dsk/f0t obs=36b

        4. Use this adst70 diskette during system installation.

II. Upgrading drivers on existing UnixWare 7 or Open UNIX 8 system

The adst70 diskette can also be used to install/upgrade the adst70 driver on
your system using the following command:

        1. Insert the diskette containing the new driver and issue
           the following command:

                # pkgadd -d diskette1 all

                  or

                # pkgadd -d diskette1 adst70
